"Revivals  work  if  we  work  the  revival.

IF  WE  FAIL  TO  PLAN,  WE  ARE  PLANNING  TO  FAIL."

Without prayer and fasting, all you will have is a meeting; with prayer and fasting, a real revival of holy living can and will take place.  This prayer commitment is incumbent upon the evangelist as well!  In the end, it is only the Holy Spirit who makes all good things happen, and we need the grace of God, if we are properly to lay the groundwork for this event.

What happens when a church goes without revival

1.  You will end up having Christianity without Christ.

2.  Forgiveness without repentance.

3.  Salvation without regeneration.

4.  Religion without the Holy Spirit.

5.  Politics without God

6.  Heaven without Hell.

 REVIVAL BULLETIN INSERTS

The following bulletin inserts can be used to help promote our upcoming revival with your church. They are designed to be used, starting seven weeks before our revival begins.

By using these inserts, we are able to build a relationship with your congregation even before arriving at your church! They are tools that will aid your efforts in preparing your people for revival.

Instructions For Downloading bulletin Inserts

1. First choice is to open file to view it. You can choose to print the insert as it appears in your browser window.

2. Second choice is to download the insert to your computer in the form of a Microsoft Word 2002 file. You can then customize the insert to meet your church needs or simply use it as is.

3. Third choice is to download the insert to your computer in the form of a Rich Text file. This should allow you to open the insert in other programs such as Word Perfect. You can then customize the insert to meet your church needs or simply use it as is.

4. If you are asked for a password when you start downloading one of the files, try selecting cancel. No password is presently required. If you are asked for one, it is due to settings on your local computer.

5. Please understand that we have attempted to design each insert so that it prints properly on your computer. However, the type/brand of printer you are using does have an affect on the margins of the downloaded files. You make have to make some minor adjustments.

6. If you need help in using the inserts, please send an email to webmaster@duanesmithministries.com. Be sure to describe the problem you are having. I'll do my best to solve the problem you have encountered.

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Eph. 4: 11 - 13).

Prophets in the Old Testament were itinerants as well.  The beloved passage from the prophet Isaiah seems to describe the role of an evangelist:

How lovely on the mountains

Are the feet of him who brings good news,

Who announces peace

And brings good news and happiness,

Who announces salvation,

And says to Zion, 'your God reigns'.  Isaiah 52: 7 (NASB)

Dr. Dennis Kinlaw also sees the same role for the itinerant evangelist represented in Romans 10: 15, "And how shall they preach unless they are sent?"
